To the delight of other players, oneLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagafan has discovered that there’s a way for two people to play the same copy of the game utilizing two different PC screens.
Reddit user MODman01 recently posted an image of their laptop and second monitor runningLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaat the same time. The fan stated that the game can run in split-screen mode on their gaming laptop which lets the game operate on both screens simultaneously. While MODman01’s image showing the co-op potential ofLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagahas the player in the city of Naboo fromThe Phantom Menace,LEGO Star Warsfans can experience any of the three trilogies using this trick. Depending on their PC setup, MODman01 has stated that this co-op tool will work using a TV as the second monitor which creates further potential co-op setups forLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagafans. Because players on a console can already play local co-op with relative ease, only PC players will have to make such adjustments to share the experience.
Going beyond their Reddit post, MODman01 also created a YouTube video showing how to replicate the same co-op technique. The video begins by showing that one character and screen are tied to a blackDualSense controllerand the other, a white DualSense gamepad.LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagafans on PC will have to adjust a text document in the game’s folder to get the game to properly run in split-screen, they will also need one copy of the game in addition to a second controller and screen for Player 2.
Although MODman01 showedLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagarunning split-screen properly, their video did highlight some problems where the display is temporarily half on one screen and half on the other. While MODman01 was able to prove thatLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaplayers can run the game on PC in this way, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment andTT Gamesmay update it in the future to prevent others from replicating the unique split-screen method. Because the display is occasionally split down the middle, it’s currently unclear which segments of the game, if any, are impeded by playingLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagain split-screen versus on just one monitor.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
