2019’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfarerebooted theModern Warfaresub-series, revamping some of the franchise’s most popular characters and moving the story forward so that it’s taking place in the present. The sequel, reportedly titledCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2like the 2009MW2, is believed to be in active development at Infinity Ward for release later this year. An official announcement for a 2022 version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2has yet to be made, but a leaker has claimed to leak some of the characters and actors that will be featured in the game.
Leaker Ralph, who claims to have some kind of insider knowledge onCall of Duty, has recently released a list of “confirmed"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2characters and actors. According to Ralph,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2will see the return ofBarry Sloane as Captain Priceas well as Craig Fairbrass as Ghost. Neil Ellice will supposedly be reprising his role as Soap MacTavish, while Rya Kihlstedt is said to be coming back as Kate Laswell. Ralph also lists actors Elias Toufexis, Troy Baker, and Warren Kole as appearing inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2in undisclosed roles.

Ralph does not provide any kind of evidence to back up their claims, so fans should take this information with a massive grain of salt. Enough reputable leakers have let the cat out of the bag that the2022Call of Dutygame isModern Warfare 2, so that part is easy to believe, and one would imagine that key characters would be returning in the sequel, though again, nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing.
Leaked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Characters and Actors
The claim that Craig Fairbrass is playingGhostin the 2022 version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is interesting. Fairbrass himself has pushed back against these rumors previously, but it does seem likely that Activision will be looking for someone other than Jeff Leach for the role, and Fairbrass seems like the obvious choice since he has experience voicing the character.
For the uninitiated, Craig Fairbrass was the voice of Ghost in the originalCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, whereas Jeff Leach voiced the character in the 2019Call of Duty: Modern Warfarereboot. However,Activision cut ties with Leachafter he was accused of making sexist comments while livestreaming.
Based on howCall of Dutyreveals have gone down in recent years, fans should be able to expect an official reveal for the2022Call of Dutygamelate summer, at which point more details about the game’s story, characters, and the actors involved will come to light. Until then, expect the rumors, leaks, and speculation to continue.
