Summary

Jujutsu Kaisen’sCulling Game arc was 1000 years in the making and was where heroic and villainous sorcerers from the past and present came together in a massive battle royale orchestrated by Kenjaku. Participants of this game were either ancient sorcerers awoken within new bodies or people who were only recently made into sorcerers by having their Cursed Technique activated remotely.

While some of the participants were insanely strong sorcerers who had powerful techniques or very high levels of Cursed Energy, there were some techniques that just massively missed the markand were incredibly weak. These kinds of techniques were all over the place and had very little combat utility, if any at all. So, let’s take a look at the worst techniques inJujutsu Kaisen’sCulling Game arc.

ioro-hazenoki

Starting this list is Hazenoki Iori, an ancient sorcerer who was reincarnated into the body of a youthful man to take part in the Culling Game. Despite him having a comparatively weak technique, Hazenoki was a fairly skilled and adept sorcerer, as was seen with his masterful usage of Reverse Cursed Technique, which was a central part of his overall move set.

Reverse Cured Technique isexceedingly rare in the world ofJujutsu Kaisenas this ability to heal belongs to either the strongest or most gifted of sorcerers, which shows Hazenoki was very experienced with Cursed Energy. His Cursed Technique, Explosive Flesh, lets him discard parts of his body and detonate them remotely in an explosion and while this technique does cause damage, it’s very situational and relies on hurting the user themselves and is really only effective against weaker opponents.

Charles Bernard’s Technique Can Be Overcome Easily

The ability to see the future is repeated constantly in all types of media, andJujutsu Kaisenis no exception. In the Culling Game, fans are introduced to Charles Bernard, a failed mangaka who had his Cursed Technique, G Warstaff, activated a little before the start of the game. This technique allows him to peer into the very near future of his opponent.

This happenswhen a Cursed Tool by the same nameas his technique appears and takes the shape of a spear with a pen-shaped tip. After cutting his opponent with it, he can see one second into their future, eventually getting a longer window of time to see their future the more he makes his enemy bleed. While peering into the future is great, the limits imposed by his technique bring its strength down, as seen when Hakari easily avoids it.

Remi’s Hair Barely Does Any Damage

Introduced quite early on in the arc, Remi was a conniving and deceptive person who just recently turned into a sorcerer and had allied herself with Reggie Star’s group. This meant that she joined up with other evil sorcerers in order to compensate for her lack of strength because she knew that her Cursed Technique could not do much.

Her technique, called Scorpion Hair, barely had anything going for it. Her long hair was tied up in a thick braid, and it could be used like a scorpion’s tail, moving without assistance to sting her opponents. Still, though, it was so weak that her sting onlycaused Megumi some mild irritation, after which he swiftly defeated her.

Rokujushi Miyo’s Moveset Is Incredibly Situational

One of the new characters introduced in the Culling Game, and one who stole the show by making most fans fall in love with him, was Rokujushi Miyo. This ancient sorcerer had been reincarnated from a time when sumo wrestling was all the buzz, and he was defined by his love for it. The thing that Miyo wants over all else is for someone to finally engage with him in a sumo wrestling match, and he gets his wish when Maki steps up to the challenge.

It is unclear whether or not Miyo even has a Cursed Technique. However, much like Miwa, Miyo can open a simple domain regardless, which he doesagainst Maki to help her outin a sumo match that can’t be disturbed by anyone on the outside. Though this doesn’t count as a technique, Miyo isn’t very strong as this Domain’s true use can only be seen if the opponent agrees to take him on in a sumo wrestling match.

Haba And Hanyu Are Just The Worst

The start of the Culling Game introduced some of the strongest characters in the entire series, who each had incredibly powerful Cursed Techniques that allowed them tocontend with Sukuna and Gojo. Participants such as Higuruma and Kashimo are still counted among the most powerful characters inJujutsu Kaisenand their techniques are incredible ones to be reckoned with.

However, The Culling Game also introduced perhaps the two worst Cursed Techniques in the entire franchise, the ones that belong to the minor antagonists Haba and Hanyu. Their techniques are virtually the same, as Haba’s is called Helicopter Hair while Hanyu’s is Airplane Hair. These techniques do exactly what one might expect, as they take on the properties of their namesakes andgive the Curse Users the power of flight.

Haba’s hair essentially turns into a propeller that works exactly like that of a helicopter and keeps him flying for as long as he needs, and he can even change the width and length of the propeller. On the other hand, Hanyu essentially gets a fighter jet in place of her hair, allowing her to fly even faster than Haba. Though these techniques allow them to fly at great speeds and stay in the air, their lack of utility makes them the worst techniques in all ofJujutsu Kaisen.
