JETT: The Far Shore’s fans will be delighted to hear that they can soon revisit their favorite game. The latest chapter ofthe story is titled Given Timeand will be available on January 31 as a free download for those who already own the main game. The brand-new campaign promises to bring Mei’s story to a satisfying conclusion while tying up all the loose ends left at the end of the original campaign.
Superbrothers also released a YouTube video in which the creative director of the game, Craig Adams, discloses some key information about Given Time. The campaign’s length will be somewhere around the 12-hour mark and will put more emphasis on free-roaming, puzzle-solving, and survival. The story is set three years after the main game’s events when Mei awakens from her deep slumber in an empty Ground Control, which is Mei and the other scouts' main base of operations.
The Given Time chapter can be started at any time, as it is separate from the main story. Individual campaign saves were also implemented so that gamers can switch from playing one campaign to another whenever they choose. Furthermore, the new expansion coincides withJETT: The Far Shore’s availability on PlayStation’s PlusExtra and Premium game catalogs for January 2023. It is a smart move by the game’s developers, as this release significantly broadens the possible audience and brings more eyes to the game product.
Even thoughJETT: The Far Shorewas well-receivedby the gaming world, it also had its fair share of criticism. The main complaint of the fans involved the tedious and overly long puzzle sequences as well as the underdeveloped narrative structure. Hopefully, Given Time will be able to solve most of the aforementioned problems.
JETT: The Far Shoreis available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
