After another death, players can put out the last, middle candle, and the upgraded Smoke Card will come out of the lamp.

Once all three candles have been put out over three rounds, The Greater Smoke Card will be put in the player’s deck for the next boss battle and all future bosses as well, even if the player dies again. While not the most difficult puzzle in Inscryption’s Act 1, it is one of the more useful.
