A recentBorderlands 3update added a new event called Revenge of the Cartels to Gearbox Software’s highly-popular looter shooter. This update also introduced a number of new weapons to the game, one of which isBL3’s Sand Hawk Legendary sniper rifle, and indeed this gun packs quite a punch. As is typical for Legendary weapons inBorderlands 3, the Sand Hawk is a random drop from a particular enemy, and in this case that enemy is none other thanKatagawa Jr. Indeed, players that wish to procure a Sandhawk inBL3must simply kill Katagawa Jr. repeatedly until one drops, but there is one very important caveat: this Legendary sniper rifle is only obtainable on Mayhem level 6 or higher.

As many players will know,Mayhem Modeis unlocked inBorderlands 3upon completion of the game, which means that fans must finish a playthrough before trying to farm for the Sand Hawk Legendary sniper rifle. It is also worth noting that the aforementioned update, which launched on Thursday, April 23, made significant alterations to Mayhem Mode, introducing new modifiers, more levels, and new ways to access those levels.
