InSuper Mario RPG, players will eventually make it to a quaint area calledMonstro Town. Players walking through the town will find a sealed door with akeyabove it on a cliff. This key isn’t used to open the sealed door, but we’ll show you how to get it down from the Monstro Town cliff and where it can be used inSuper Mario RPG.
How to Get the Key in Monstro Town
There are a couple of doors in Monstro Town to enter, but players will want tohead inside the room directly underneath the key. Inside the room, there will be adog/wolf monster at a table near a Thwomp.
If playersspeak to the Thwomp, it will raise itself in the air and drop down. Repeat this several times, and the key in Monstro Town will eventually fall off the cliff. Head outside to collect theTemple Key.
Where to Use the Temple Key in Super Mario RPG
With the key in hand, players should walk to the far left of Monstro Town and jump on the spring to return toBelome Temple. Leave the room with the pipe to enter the room with the pressed green switch. Jump on the spring in the back to enter a different room, then head up the elevator in the following room.
Once players get to the room with the mage character with a blue hood, jump underneath the golden status with the tongue to receive a scroll with a note. The note should say, “Sorry, I’m not accepting visitors past my bedtime.” If the note doesn’t say that, players will need to leave the room and try it again, essentially rerolling until the correct scroll is obtained.
If the note says that, go down the elevator shaft by hopping on the yellow block. In the next room, players will find a gold statue blocking the path. Give the statue the Temple Key to collect the treasure in the room, which includesFrog Coins, Flowers, Fire Bombs, Max Mushrooms, and Royal Syrup.
