Just becausethe Emissaryis the more rational ofStarfield’s two main antagonists, that doesn’t mean that they don’t still know how to fight. Anybody with any doubts about this need only check out their weapon, which is arguably the best gun in the entire game.

The good news is thatStarfieldplayerswill be able to get their hands on this Legendary Particle Beam Rifle and wield its awesome power for themselves. The process for doing so is relatively simple too, though players will need to wait a while before they add the weapon to their arsenal.

How to Get Eternity’s Gate in Starfield (Emissary’s Gun)

to get Eternity’s Gate, players will need tokill the Emissary and loot the weapon from their corpse. This is easier said than done though, as although it is possible to attack the Emissary at certain points throughout the main story, the only chance that players will get to actually kill them comes in one ofStarfield’s final main story missions, and only if players make a few key decisions in the moments leading up to it.

First and foremost, players will need toside with either the Hunter or nobodyat the end of Unearthed, which will set up a final showdown with the Emissary. Then, when the time for violence finally comes, players will be presented with an opportunity topersuade the Emissary to hand over his artifacts peacefully. To get Eternity’s Gate, players will need toattack the Emissary, which will trigger the epic final showdown.

As withthe Guardian Fionn fightthat took place a little earlier, the best strategy for beating the Emissary (and the Hunter, if players chose to side with neither of them) is to go into the fight with a melee weapon equipped. This is because the endless army of duplicates will use the same weapon as the player, making it easy to avoid their attacks and also to tell where exactly the Emissary is, as they’ll be the only one shooting at the player.

After finally defeating the Emissary, players will get a chance to loot their corpse. Here, along with all of their artifacts, players will find Eternity’s Gate. If they’re lucky, they’ll also get the Emissary’s spacesuit, though it seems as though this may be a random drop. Of course, whether or not they get the suit shouldn’t matter too much to those who plan on playing throughStarfield’s New Game Plus mode.
