Honkai: Star Railhas revealed brand-new areas that will be coming to Version 1.2. HoYoverse recently hosted a Special Program stream titled “Even Immortality Ends” to showcase the new features ofHonkai: Star RailVersion 1.2, where over 200,000 viewers tuned in.
To be released on July 19,Honkai: Star RailVersion 1.2 will introduce new playable characters,five-star banner units Kafka and Blade, four-star Luka, and four powerful boss enemies that will challenge players. The update will also have new limited-time events and special challenges where players could farm Stellar Jades, and even get Yukong for free.

Another important addition toHonkai: Star RailVersion 1.2 were the new areas, the Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape. The former is one of the six commissions found at the Xianzhou Luofu, where alchemists focused on medical research and treating sick patients. While the Scalegorge Waterscape is the home of the Vidyadhara, who are humanoid species with dragon-like features, like Bailu andImbibitor Lunae, and where the Ambrosial Arbor could be found. The “Even Immortality Ends” trailer also showed Imbibitor Lunae parting a body of water at Scalegorge Waterscape.
Not much was revealed about the type of missions and enemies thatHonkai: Star Railplayers could expect at these locations, but it was hinted that there will be new puzzles. Many players online seemed excited to explore the areas while progressing the game’s main story.
It’s highly possible that the Alchemy Commission could be where the Trailblazers might find answers about the Mara afflicting Xianzhou citizens. The location is also connected to the Sanctus Medicus, a cultish group that’s seeking ways to become immortal. Meanwhile, the Scalegorge Waterscape could be the endgame location as the trailer seemed to tease thepowerful boss named Phantylia the Undyingin the same area. This could also be where Dan Heng would unleash his true form as Imbibitor Lunae, so players would be looking forward to that.
It’s also important to note that the Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape aren’t therumored new location inHonkai: Star Rail. According to previous leaks, World 3 would be themed after late 1800s or early 1900s France and USA. Since it was leaked, there haven’t been any updates about the third in-game world and when it would be released. But if the Xianzhou Luofu story ends in Version 1.2, players might get to visit the next world sooner than expected.
