Hogwarts Legacyfollows a young fifth-year student during their first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Shortly after arriving at the famed castle, the player will be given the chance to explore the vast world outside its walls, where they can uncover a variety of unique secrets.

The world ofHogwarts Legacyis chock-full of Treasure Vaults. There arefive Treasure Vaults in Hogsmeade Valley, and though finding them is pretty straightforward, solving the puzzles associated with them can be quite challenging. Before searching for them, the player should ensure that their character has learnedAccio, Confringo, and Wingardium Leviosa. TheLevel 3 version of Alohomorais also needed.
The Upper Hogsfield Treasure Vault
To reach the Upper Hogsfield Treasure Vault,the player should fast-travelto theUpper Hogsfield Floo Flamenorth of Hogsmeade and travel west. Upon reaching the entrance, a group of Inferi will spawn, preventing the protagonist from interacting with the locked door in the cliff’s face. Fire-based spells likeConfringoandIncendiowill render the Inferi vulnerable, allowing the player to damage them.

After the group has been defeated, the player can approach the door anduse Alohomorato unlockthe Level 3 Locksealing the door. Once inside, continuing down the stairway will lead to a chest containing a gear item.
The Falbarton Castle Treasure Vault
To find the Falbarton Castle Treasure Vault, the player should fast-travel to theFalbarton Castle Floo Flamejust northeast of Hogsmeade, turn their character around, and head west through the stone doorway in the nearby mountain.
After traveling down the stairs, the protagonist will be faced with a door sealed with aLevel 2 Lock. Once this door has been opened, the player can continue into the next room, where they can find and open a treasure chest containing a gear item.
The East Hogsmeade Valley Treasure Vault
To reach the East Hogsmeade Valley Treasure Vault, the player should fast-travel to theEast Hogsmeade Valley Floo Flame,mount a broom, and fly southeast. The entrance is located in the bottom right corner of this region, so it isn’t too hard to find. That said, getting inside can be a little tricky due to thePoachersnear the entrance.
The player can feel free to run past the enemies surrounding the area if they wish, as none of them will follow the protagonist inside the Treasure Vault. Once inside, all the player needs to do is travel down the stairs until they reach a dead end, where they will find a chest containing some gear.
The East North Ford Bog Treasure Vault #1
To find the entrance to the first East North Ford Bog Treasure Vault, the player should fast-travel to theEast North Ford Bog Floo Flame, mount a broom, and fly east until they see the stone passage leading inside the mountain. To open this doorway, acube needs to be placed on the stone platejust in front of the stairs leading down. The cube can be found by standing on the plate,facing southwest, and casting Revelio.
Upon locating the cube, the protagonist mustcast Wingardium Leviosato carry it back to the plate. Once it is on the plate, castingConfringoorIncendioon it will cause it to light up, opening the door to the Treasure Vault, wherein a chest containing a gear item can be found.
The East North Ford Bog Treasure Vault #2
The entrance to the second East North Ford Bog Treasure Vault can be found by fast-traveling to theEast North Ford Bog Floo Flameand flying southeast just past theMedium Bandit Camp. By flying directly to the Treasure Vault’s entrance on the eastern wall, the player will be able to avoid fighting the nearby goblins.
There are no puzzles associated with this Treasure Vault, so all the player needs to do is travel down the stairs leading inside to find and obtain the treasure.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A Switch version will release on July 25.
