Console players will soon be able to try their hand atHell Let Loose, the 100-player first-person shooter developed by Black Matter that released on PC in July. Set during World War 2,Hell Let Loosepits two 50-player teams of Germans and Americansagainst one another in intense skirmishes with artillery, tanks, infantry, and a dynamically changing frontline. The game currently has a Very Positive rating on Steam, based on nearly 33,000 reviews, andHell Let Looseis set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on October 5.
The console version ofHell Let Loosewill launch as a free PlayStation Plus title for October, which has left some Xbox players feeling left out. It hasn’t helped that PS5 owners also got to participate in an open beta of the game earlier in September, and some media outlets have mistakenly calledHell Let Loosea PlayStation 5 console exclusive, likely making some Xbox owners fear that they wouldn’t be able to enjoy the game at all. Thankfully, this isn’t correct.

Hell Let Loosewill be available for Xbox Series X and S players to purchase on October 5, and Microsoft console owners also won’t be left out of the chance to play the game for free before release. The developer has announced that a 10-hour trial ofHell Let Loosewill be available on Xbox Series consoles up until the game’s launch. Players will have access to the full game, and progress will carry over to the retail purchase.
Hell Let Loosewill feature some of the more iconic battles of theWestern Front during World War 2, including Carentan, Omaha Beach, and Foy. The nine game maps were modeled to scale from real reconnaissance aerial images and satellite data, covering a range of terrain like forests, fields, and bridges. Each area captured will produce resources for the holding team, which can be used to call in support, bombing runs, new vehicles, and other elements that could change the tide of battle.
Players will have 14 roles to choose from, including officer, medic, sniper, and machine gunner, and the detailed uniforms, weapons, and vehicles used by each have been reproduced based on historical data. Because teamwork will be the key to victory,Hell Let Loosewill also offer in-game proximity, command, and unit VoIP communication.
Hell Let Looseis available on PC and will launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on July 07, 2025.
