There’s a lot of mixed emotions aboutHalo Infiniteever since 343 revealed the first campaign footage of the game at the Xbox Games Showcase event. While many fans praised the gameplay as looking to be quite fun, others were quick to criticize its graphics as being outdated. Since much aboutHalo Infinitehas yet to be revealed, some fans may be a little too quick to judge, but it has been confirmed that the new game will be bringing back a popular feature.

Halo Infinitewill have 4-player split-screen, as confirmed by 343 in various interviews post-Xbox Games Showcase. However, it’s unclear if this means thatHalo Infinitewill have 4-player split-screen for the campaign, or if it will be a feature exclusive to multiplayer like in past games. Even if the campaign doesn’t support 4-player split-screen, though, it will likely support 2-player split-screen at the very least.

Halo Infinitebringing back split-screen should be well-received by fans, and bring some positive attention to the game after its somewhat rough start. It didn’t take long at all forHalo Infinite’s graphicsto be widely criticized online, and many were negative about the game in general after its presentation at the Xbox Games Showcase event.

Perhaps public opinion ofHalo Infinitewill improve in future. It’s since come to light that theversion ofHalo Infiniteshown at the Xbox Games Showcasewas actually running on PC instead of Xbox Series X and wasn’t even the current build, so maybe future demonstrations will have more impressive graphics.

Not only that, but it’s possible theHalo Infinitemultiplayerwill be much more impressive than the campaign. There are rumblings that the game’s multiplayer will be some kind of big leap forward for the franchise, but it may be better for fans to keep their expectations in check.
