343 Industries has finally broughtHalo Infiniteto all platforms and players everywhere can explore the long-awaited single-player campaign. However, there are still some features that have yet to be fully implemented, including the hotly anticipated Slayer playlist. Fortunately, an employee of 343 Industries recently shared an update confirming thatHalo Infinitehas a Slayer playlist lined up.
Fans ofHalo Infinitehave beenrequesting a permanent Slayer playlistfor quite a while, with many expressing a belief that a 24/7 Slayer playlist would fix issues with the game’s existing multiplayer. Reportedly,Halo Infinite’s current multiplayer set-up is rather restrictive and tends to toss players into random match types. Players who are trying to get into Slayer mode might find it frustrating to be constantly placed in Capture The Flag or Oddball matches instead.

According to Redditor ske7ch343, a verified 343 Industries employee, a Slayer playlist is officially in the works and is planned to be implemented in an update scheduled for next week. This is interesting, as another 343 representative recently explainedwhy a Slayer playlist wasn’t in the baseHalo Infinitegame. Apparently, the Slayer playlist planned was a bit too robust to easily add into the game as an interim fix. Now, it appears that the developers are trying to make up for the delay by bringing in three more new playlists alongside the Slayer playlist.
Reportedly, new Slayer, Fiesta, Fee For All, and Tactical Slayer (SWAT) playlists will all be added via a services update on Tuesday, Dec. 14. This means aSlayer playlist is coming toHalo Infinitemuch soonerthan some players feared. Ske7ch343 stated that the update will begin with a basic Slayer offering with plans to expand and add more variants to the mode in future updates. Next week’s update will also feature adjustments to challenges and a new challenge category allegedly based on accumulating player score.
As of writing, it appears thatHalo Infinitefans are tentatively excited about the new playlists. Several users have expressed their anticipation forSWAT and FFA playlists inHalo Infinite. More users have declared their appreciation for finally getting a dedicated Slayer playlist, though a portion of them appear to be more relieved than truly excited. One user announced their intentions to play Slayer all day, while others began looking forward to a theoretical ranked Slayer playlist that might be added in a future update.
