As players start their time withGrounded, the survival game from developer Obsidian Entertainment, they will find that they are in first-person view. While this will undoubtedly be the preferred camera for some players, others may prefer to switch to third-person view. Fortunately for these fans, it is possible to playGroundedin third-person, and this guide details exactly how that is done.
Grounded: How to Toggle Camera (Controller)
For those fans that are playingGroundedwith a controller, the first step toward switching to third-person is to pressdown on the d-pad. This action will pull up theexecutables radial menu, and players should pressup on the right joystickto select thetop optionon the circle. It is indicated that this option will toggle the player camera, and choosing it will put the camera into third-person. Fans ofsurvival gamescan then select the option once again to return to first-person when they are ready to do so.

Grounded: How to Toggle Camera (Keyboard)
While it is easy to toggle the camera inGroundedwith a controller, it is even easier to do so with a keyboard. Indeed, keyboard users must simplypress the “U” keyto switch between first-person and third-person, and they never need to access any sort of radial menu.
To note, players that are using a controller have a variety reasons to pull up the executables radial menu beyond simply toggling the camera. More specifically, a fan can open their inventory, crafting tab, and map through this menu, and while these features can be accessed in other ways, this is a convenient way to do so. Players can also enterGrounded’s photo modewith the executables radial menu if they stumble across something that is worthy of documentation.

There are also other radial menus that can be accessed with the d-pad, and players can bring up a ring of emotes by pressing left and a ring of quick chat options by pressing right. These particular menus can come in handy when enjoyingGroundedwith friends, as they allow players to communicate with one another quickly.
Finally, pressing up on the d-pad will open a construction menu, which will allow players to placeWorkbenches inGroundedand many other objects during their adventures. Notably, it is not requisite that fans use this particular menu, as objects that can be constructed are also available through the crafting tab. The radial menu is a very easy way to access constructions, though, and it is a nice option to have.
Groundedis available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
