Recently, a clip has been circulating on Twitch, in which a streamer known as polispol1 was surprised to find out that the Google Street Car, which captures images for Google Street View, had hit a biker. The impact appears to have been pretty violent as the cyclist flipped over as though he were performing a somersault. The unfortunate impact also causedthe cyclist’s helmetto fly off his head in a dramatic fashion. The incident took place in the Tambacounda Region of Senegal.
It is unclear from the images which party was at fault here, though hopefully the victim survivedwithout any severe injuries. Even though there are over 170 billion Street View images from 87 different countries, it is weird to think that the image was kept online, as apparently the image was captured on December 2021. One would assume that the driver would report the accident and the photos would be promptly removed.
