AGenshin Impactfan has found an interesting hidden animation that can be triggered by the Electro user Keqing. The active kit for each character in the game can be divided into three main parts: the Elemental Burst, the Elemental Skill, and the Normal, Charged, and Plunging attacks.
Genshin Impactcharacters can usually perform four or five types of Normal Attacks, depending on their weapon. Each of those attacks has a completely different animation and damage scaling with the last one being usually the most powerful.

Reddit user Aeonim has shared an interesting video revealing one of Keqing’s hidden animations that cannot be seen while moving on normal terrain. The video proves that her fifth strike is followed with an Electro-effect under her model which is almost impossible to spot if she’s not standing on the invisible floor that can be found in one of therecently added Sumeru puzzles. The animation can also be seen if Keqing is placed on thin edges like tree branches or certain types of roofs. A couple of replies in the comment section claim that this is probably not a bug considering that it was part of the game since release.
Some players claim that the effect is just barely visible on normal ground, but the game apparently needs to be run on a certain graphic setting. The post gathered a lot of attention in the community as it reached almost 2k upvotes and many fans used this opportunity to complain about the fact that Keqing can be targeted by enemy attacks during the short state of invisibility before the last attack. This interaction can largely affectKeqing’s combo and overall damage outputsince she can be knocked out of the animation by heavy attacks.
At the time of her release, Keqing was considered one of thebest DPS characters inGenshin Impactalongside Diluc and Razor, but with the release of newer and more complex units, she was slowly pushed out of the game’s meta. Luckily, the recent introduction of new types of elemental reactions gave her an opportunity to return to many players' team compositions.
Today,Keqing is mostly used as a DPS characterfor a new type of team composition that revolves around the Aggravate elemental reaction. In order to trigger Aggravate, players need to apply Catalyze first by combining Electro and Dendro. Dealing additional Electro damage to the target will cause Aggravate granting a significant damage buff to the character that triggers the reaction which should always be the main DPS.
Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
