Leaks aboutGenshin Impact’s upcoming 4.3 update showed that it is something players would want to look forward to. It allegedly comes witha new Serenitea Pot realm layout, new limited-time events, and two new playable characters - Navia and Chevreuse. It may also have new QoL improvements that make the game simpler to play than it is now, like the rumored auto-upgrading and auto-locking feature for artifacts. While these already makeGenshin Impact’s 4.3 update worth the wait, a recent leak could make it even more so.

Leaked information fromgeezjessiewhy’s post on the r/Genshin_impact_leaks subreddit revealed that theMarvelous Merchandise event’s traveling merchant, Liben, is making a return to the game. The post u/geezjessiewhy made came with an image showing Liben’s dialogue with the Traveler, which reveals that they don’t want to go to Natlan anytime soon. Unfortunately, the picture didn’t show the reason behind Liben’s hesitation to go to Natlan.
Apart from Liben’s return,Genshin Impactmay also introduce a new interface for the Adventurer Handbook’s Enemies section. According to another leak fromKurooon Twitter, the Enemies section will feature a 3x3 grid containing the icons ofGenshin Impact’s enemies instead of the single column the handbook currently uses. Interestingly, the picture Kuroo shared didn’t show the Handbook’s Commissions and Embattle sections. Whether this leak also means HoYoverse will be changing where these sections are located is unclear.
Nevertheless, Liben’s alleged return toGenshin Impactmeans that the game’s 4.3 update could feature a rerun of the Marvelous Merchandise event. ManyGenshin Impactplayers may remember that the event rewards players with ascension materials, talent level-up materials, and even primogemsthrough the Box o' Marvels players open. However, they can only open one of the many boxes Liben offers after giving him a certain amount of materials commonly found in Teyvat.
Additionally, Liben’s hesitation to go to Natlan may hint that not all is well within the “nation of dragons.” Many players may recall that Liben said something similar about Sumeru and Fontaine in the previous re-runs of the Marvelous Merchandise event. Only time will tell if Liben’s statement about Natlan is connected toLa Signora’s alleged resurrectionor the nation’s perpetual state of war, as Neuvilette claims. Regardless,Genshin Impactplayers must take these leaks with a pinch of salt until the content for Natlan becomes available.
