Fortniteplayers have come up with a way to find sneaky bush campers without having to check inside.Fortnitehas been around for a few years now, and it has truly found a way to make a name for itself in the battle royale genre. Initially, what set it apart was the building mechanic, but the game now allows its players to opt out of this withthe addition of Zero Build Mode. Nevertheless, it still manages to stand out with other quirks such as goofy skins, notorious emotes, and unique weapons and environmental features.
DespiteFortnitehaving other game modes such as Creative, it’s most known for its battle royale game mode. The main objective of a battle royale game is to be the last player alive, and, in this case, get a Victory Royale. AlthoughFortniteplayers are incentivized to eliminate enemies, they can also simply wait it out and try to make it to the top this way. Ever since the early days, this has been a common strategy, especially back before the Legendary Bush item was vaulted. Even though the Bush item is gone now, bush campers are still present inFortnite- they just hide in bushes in the environment instead; the only difference between the two is that these bushes are larger but can’t be moved.

Bush campers can be a nuisance to deal with, and sometimes they can even take the best of players by surprise and eliminate them in a single shot.Fortniteplayers are now using the new Lock On Pistolto find bush campers in their hiding spots from far away.
With the Lock On Pistol, the player can aim in a certain direction, and it’ll then lock onto an enemy target to guarantee that it hits them. Therefore, since bushes aren’t structures and don’t block oncoming hits, the weapon can lock onto a camper and detect them from up to 50 meters away. This doesn’t mean thatFortnitebush camperswill have to come up with a whole new strategy; they will just have to be careful if they see an enemy point this futuristic pistol in their direction.
Some gamers found this technique a bit risky because it’s nearly impossible to see another player while they’re inside a bush without entering it as well. These worried players believe that those using this method could risk being falsely reported for cheating, as the person that is hit by the Lock On Pistol might be unsure of how they were found in the first place.
