The jungle is one of the main features added toFortnitefor Chapter 4 Season 3, and it’s exactly why it’s titledFortniteWILDS. In this season’s jungle biome, players got to explore several mysterious temples with their own secrets ready to be unveiled.

While exploring the temples, players will come across a variety of puzzles that they must solve in order to find hidden rooms, which always contain tons of chests, ammo boxes, and their rare counterparts, all filled with lots of loot. This guide will showFortniteplayers how they can solve the flame puzzle in the Northern Ruin, in the Southern Ruin, and in the Hidden Ruin.
How the Flame Puzzle Works
Players will have to solve the flame puzzle to enter the second loot room in the Nothern Ruin, in the Southern Ruin, and in the Hidden Ruin temples. First, players mustopen the temple door by offering a high-rarity item. This will lead them to a loot-filled room with yet anotherlocked temple door that commands the player to “find flames” and “match flames.”
This room will contain several lit or unlit braziers with purple flames.Gamers will have to locate braziers in similar positions on other levels of the temple. Then, they must either extinguish or light the braziers in the secret room to match them to their counterparts.
Where to Find Flames at the Hidden Ruin
The Hidden Ruin temple is one of the three temples on theFortnitemap that contain a room that requires gamers to solve the flame puzzle.
After opening the first temple door, gamers will see a locked door that asks them to find and match flames.The other set of braziers is located underneath the secret room; players will have to drop down where the makeshift bridge (the wooden board) was in order to find it. There they will find another four braziers, and they must remember which ones are lit. Then, they must return to the level above and extinguish or light the braziers so that they match the ones down below.
Where to Find Flames at the Southern Ruin
In the Southern Ruin, south ofthe Appatarus, players will find the first locked door down the stairs, underground. After opening it with a high-rarity weapon, they will get to a room withfive braziers inside- one in the center and another one in each corner.
The Southern Ruin landmark is slightly more complicated as there are more divisions to search through.The flame that gamers have to compare to the flame in the center of the room is on the ground level, just above the secret room.The other four flames are on the first level- gamers can get to them by taking the ascender.
Once again, players will have to take note of which flames are lit and make adjustments to the ones in the secret room so that they match.
Where to Find Flames at the Northern Ruin
The Northern Ruin can be a particularly confusing landmark inFortnite. To get to the room that requires gamers to find flames, players will first have to open its main entrance by sacrificing a rare item. Then, they must find a secret room on the upper level where they cansolve the Northern Ruin’s first puzzleby correctly seeking a statue.
After finding the right statue, they can move to the second room, andit’s here that they’ll have to match flames.
To find the flames, players must return to the entrance on the ground level. Then, they must take the first set of stairs on the right, and continue moving forward until they’re able to go down another set of stairs that will take them farther underground.They will find five braziers in the first room that they come across. It’s a small room, but it has the same layout as the second secret room.
