Final Fantasy 14is getting ready to release its Patch 6.2, titledBuried Memory. The next Letter from the Producer LIVE was just recently scheduled, meaningFinal Fantasy 14players now have a pretty good guess as to when the patch itself will drop.
This showcase marks the 72ndLetter from the Producer LIVEFinal Fantasy 14has had sinceA Realm Reborn’srelease. These developer panels allow producer and director Naoki Yoshida and other developers to talk to theFinal Fantasy 14community about news and upcoming releases for the critically-acclaimed MMORPG.

This Live Letter, scheduled for June 05, 2025, at 4 a.m Pacific, will go into more depth aboutBuried Memory. This patch marks the second of five majorEndwalkercontent patches, and introduces tons of new elements to the game. In addition to new Main Scenario quests, dungeons, and raids,Final Fantasy 14is finally adding the Island Sanctuarycasual content it teased over a year ago. Though the Live Letter will showcase new information – and likely a teaser trailer – for the patch in English, the presentation audio itself will be in the developers’ native Japanese.
Historically, major content patches inFinal Fantasy 14have come out two weeks after the second Letter from the Producer LIVE about it. Since the 72nd Live Letter is the second to cover 6.2, players can likely expect the patch itself to go live two weeks after. ThoughFinal Fantasy 14has told players to expect 6.2 in late August, players can plan for the patch to hit servers on August 23rd, barring exceptions. An official release date will probably be revealed during the Live Letter itself.
Players are excited to see what this Letter from the Producer LIVE has to offer. Many of the things being added in the patch – especially the Island Sanctuary – have been highly-anticipated by many players. Others are excited to see where theFinal Fantasy 14Main Scenario questsare going, how the second chapter of the Pandaemonium raid will progress, or what the next raid tier will look like.
However, some players are less excited about the Letter from the Producer LIVE, since it won’t be translated to English. In the past, Live Letters have had translators present to ensure both Japanese and English speakers couldunderstand what Yoshida and the rest were saying. However, as convenient as the translations are, they also nearly double the length of Live Letters, so it is understandable whyFinal Fantasy 14is avoiding it for a less-important showcase like this. Players will have to make due with fan translations and the information available in English from the slides shown during the Live Letter.
