That’s exactly what happened with the Epic Games Store on Thursday, March 17, ascity management gameCities: Skylineswas removed from the free games lineup and replaced by first-person horror gameIn Sound Mind.
In Sound Mindis the Epic Games Store free gamefrom now until Thursday, March 24 at 10:00am CT, at which point it too will be replaced. As usual, the Epic Games Store has announced next week’s free game in advance, confirming that the next Epic Games Store free game isDemon’s Tilt, a title that originally released for the launcher in May of 2021.Demon’s Tilthasn’t even been available on the Epic Games Store for a year yet, which should make it one of the more appealing Epic Games Store free games.

For those who may not be familiar with the game,Demon’s Tiltoriginally released in 2019 for platforms other than theEpic Games Store. It’s a pinball game with a horror theme, combining traditional pinball gameplay with shoot ‘em up-style action. It features secrets and power-ups like many of the other pinball video games do, but one way that it differs from the rest is through its use of boss fights.

Demon’s Tiltshould be worth checking out for action game fans, even if they don’t usually consider themselves a big fan of pinball. But before Epic Games Store users even need to worry about claimingDemon’s Tiltfor their collection, they can snagIn Sound Mindwhile it’s free.In Sound Mindis a first-person horror gamethat earned somewhat mixed reviews when it first launched in September of last year, but should still appeal to fans of the genre. It also features music by The Living Tombstone, so anyone that’s a fan of them may especially get a kick out of the game.
Regardless,In Sound Mindis completely free forEpic Games Store usersto claim, so there’s zero risk in grabbing it for one’s library. Unlike other free game programs, there’s no subscription fee tied to getting free games through the Epic Games Store; all users have to do is download the launcher.
In Sound Mindwill be free until March 24, at which point it will be replaced byDemon’s Tilt.Demon’s Tiltwill then be replaced by a different free game come March 31, though what that is exactly remains to be seen.
