Though the bosses featured withinElden Ringunderstandably steal the spotlight, the regular enemies that roam the Lands Between can be very formidable as well. The wolves seen inElden Ringare a good example of a threat that should not be underestimated, though a recent clip makes them look more cute than intimidating.
Elden Ring’s wolves work exactly like one would expect, with the enemies having some basic lunge attacks. Outside of the massiveRed Wolf of Radagon, there is little reason to be scared of these enemies in a one-on-one fight. Even a Tarnished with limited skill can take out single wolves with ease, as one hit from canines is unlikely to be fatal. However, wolves are truly dangerous when they group up and attack at the same time, especially if one of the stronger white versions is present in the pack.

OneElden Ringplayer named Shadow_Clarke spotted one of these white wolves, though it was laying down calmly instead of prowling around and looking for a meal. In fact, the clip that they shared might prove incredibly heartwarming to dog owners, as it makes the wolf look extremely cute and cuddly. As it lays comfortably on the ground, the wolf spins its paws in circles, wiggling its wrists around in a playful manner. Almost instantly this post brought in thousands of upvotes fromtheElden Ringcommunity.
While it is unclear if this is anElden Ringbugor a proper animation added to the game by FromSoftware, many Redditors have been quick to show their love for the wolf’s “tippy taps.” Even if it was an accidental addition, this kind of detailed behavior makes the wolf seem more realistic, and viewing this clip will likely make it harder for some players to attack the wolves they see going forward. Perhaps the most entertaining comment of all came from Reddit user Lexunia, as they noticed that the outfit worn by Shadow_Clarke was very appropriate for the situation.
Shadow_Clarke’s Tarnished is seen sporting a red cloak, making them resemble the fairy tale character Little Red Riding Hood. Though the playful wolf in the clip could hardly be described as “big” and “bad” based on what is shown in the footage, it is surely a lot more intimidating when it is aggressive toward the player. Regardless, clips like this are a ton of fun, as they allow gamers to appreciateElden Ring’s worldand its inhabitants even more.
