In the time sinceElden Ringreleased, the game’s community has made many real life tributes to it. While these include custom statues and item replicas, oneElden Ringplayer went out of their way to recreate the Tarnished they played as.
ThoughElden Ring’s character creatorallows players to make their Tarnished look exactly like them if they wish to do so, FromSoftware’s latest release also offers a number of different armor types and pieces of headwear to choose from. While remaking some of this gear in real life surely took some effort, Reddit user RealCaptainSteel was clearly up to the challenge. They made and wore their own Jar helmet, with the piece being sewn together.

Seeing an image of this threaded Jar helm would have been fun enough on its own, but RealCaptainSteel went above and beyond by making a full video featuring the costume. In the clip, the rest of the outfit can be seen, which includes a grey robe and a fancy cloak. Some dark pants are also worn, with everything servicing the overall aesthetic and making the detailedJar helmetlook even better. While the attire is worthy of praise, though, so too is the editing in the player’s video.
The entertainingElden Ringclip sees the Redditor activating aSite of Grace, with the discovery message appearing on-screen as soon as they move their hand in front of it. Much like this costume, the Site is obviously homemade, with a yellow light surrounded by some pieces of gold and gray paper. Alongside of this Site of Grace discovery, the gamer breaks multiple pieces of furniture, with a chair and cat tree being taken down during the clip.
Other funny moments in the video include a mug that reads “I love Malenia,” though the highlight of the footage undoubtedly comes near the end. At one point in the clip, the Redditor sits down at the Site of Grace to rest, seemingly passing time as another person appears in the background of the shot. After RealCaptainSteel’s friend is finished repairing all the broken furniture, the Redditor gets up from the Site and rolls onto the ground, an act that causes all the items around them to collapse. A great nod to theFromSoftwaremechanic of rolling into items to break them, it is no surprise that theElden Ringfan base responded well to the clip.
This clever video is more than deserving of the 2,500 upvotes it has received thus far, and hopefully it inspires other gamers to make similar videos. With so many unique sets ofElden Ringarmor, there are plenty of designs that would be fun to see in the real world - and plenty of mechanics to joke about.
