Of the parts from previous FromSoftware games thatElden Ringbrings back, one of the more likable is the variety of NPCs scattered around the world. These characters can play subtle roles in the story of these games and have even coined iconic phrases. OneElden Ringplayer recently paid tribute to one of the more memorable of these new NPCs, Iron Fist Alexander, in an impressive 3D printed sculpture.
Elden Ringis an open world action role-playing game which focuses on combat and exploration. This game features elements similar to those found in theDark Soulsseries andother games developed by FromSoftwaresuch as a strong focus on intense combat.

This fan-made creation comes from u/RutoSenpai andElden Ringplayers should recognize it right away. ThisElden Ringplayer shows off Iron Fist Alexander, affectionately referred to as the Pot Dude in this post. This NPC looks like a huge cauldron with arms and legs and is first encountered while stuck in the ground. Players then have the option to hit this character repeatedly in the back until they are finally dislodged. The character has been 3D printed to perfection here with the detailed tree on the cauldron lid, this NPC’s arms and legs recreated masterfully, and even the original pattern on the cauldron printed on. In this sculpture, Iron Fist Alexander is dislodged from the ground and u/RutoSenpai mentions that after 3D printing this design they painted it to match the in-game look perfectly.
U/RutoSenpai mentions that though they 3D printed this sculpture and painted it, they purchased this Pot Boi Dice Vault design license from user Andrew Martin on Artstation. With the license, they then used resin in their 3D printer to bring the NPC to life and layered a base primer first and then painted it. U/RutoSenpai also mentions that sanding at the beginning can help improve the finished product as well.
NPCs can add a great deal to games such asElden Ringthat drop players into challenging worlds. Sometimes helpful and sometimes hidden enemies, NPCs in FromSoftware games are an integral part of the successful formula. This is especially true for Iron Fist Alexander, who has immediately becomea memorable character inElden Ring.
However, there are some NPCs ingames such asElden Ringthat seemingly exist only to give players grief. These characters add a layer of frustration that some may feel unnecessary in games that already ask for a good deal of patience. Either way, this interesting NPC has been brought to life in an interesting way in this post.
