Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s most recent set of leaks seem toconfirm Golden Frieza for DLC 2’s main antagonist, but looking deeper into the V Jump scan reveals something else as well. Players may have a good idea now of when the DLC will finally release.

Though the game initially released back in January of 2020, it has gone over half a year and only received one DLC. To make matters worse, many fans weren’t satisfied withDragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s interpretation of Battle of Gods, as some say it felt lackluster and far too streamlined. It seems Bandai Namco may be addressing those complaints in the second DLC.

The V Jump scans showsSuper Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegetafighting against Frieza’s army, reminiscent of the scene inResurrection Fwhere the other Z Warriors battle the Frieza Force, but an inconspicuous line of text in the corner has caught the attention of fans.

The scans claim that the release date for DLC 2 will be revealed in next month’s issues of V Jump, and with that information fans have narrowed down the release date. WithKakarot’sBattle of the GodsDLC, it was released one week after its announcement, so it with any luck, DLC 2 should follow that pattern. If that’s the case, September’s V Jump will release on September 19th, and the DLC may follow a week after that on the 26th of September.

Of course, this isn’t guaranteed, andDragon Ball Z: Kakarotbroke its DLC patternin the past, but it is definitely a place to start. At the very least, fans can be absolutely certain that the DLC isn’t coming this month, and that if it comes in September, it will be late September at the earliest. Similarly, at the latest it should release in early to mid October, as it is unlikely the release date will be too far out from the announcement. With this information available to the public, it should only be a matter of time before Bandai Namco makes an announcement revealing the DLC content and release date as well.

Though the inclusion of the Frieza Force battle is promising, fans should still keep their expectations set low. Most likely this DLC will be very similar to the first one, involvingtraining with Whis to level up and obtain Super Saiyan Blueand then fighting Golden Frieza, so players shouldn’t go in expecting a ton of new content.
