The sprawling region of Eternity Isle invites players ofDisney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Timeto discover all sorts of new items, includingcooking ingredients, crafting materials, special items once lost to time, and more. The region features three biomes for players to explore, each with unlockable areas to reveal even more treasures.
Players will once again rely on their Royal Tools to make their way through these biomes, collecting materials,helping Disney characters, and just generally enjoy day-to-day life on Eternity Isle. They will often have toremove obstaclesthat block their path, or simply detract from their painstakingly arranged landscaping, just like in the Valley.
Copper Rocksare one such obstacle that can be found throughout Eternity Isle. When broken, they will dropCopper, a crafting material used in an assortment of new recipes. While players can learn to remove smaller Copper Rocks very early on in the expansion, there are criteria that must be met before they can take down the larger versions. Here’s what players need to know about removing both small and large Copper Rocks on Eternity Isle inDisney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time.
How to Remove Small Copper Rocks
Copper Rockscan be removed using the Royal Pickaxe, but only after it has been upgraded. This necessary upgrade is given by Jafar during the quest, “The Flying Metal Nuisance,” as the quest requires the player to clear Copper Rocks blocking the path leading to EVE. This quest occurs very early inA Rift in Time’s main story. Therefore, players are able to remove Copper Rocks very shortly after arriving at Eternity Isle.
How to Remove Large Copper Rocks
Players will also encounter significantly bigger obstacles,Large Copper Rocks, that their Royal Pickaxe cannot destroy without another upgrade. Unlike the first, this second upgrade is not unlocked during a quest but instead must be crafted at theTimebending Table.
To upgrade the Royal Pickaxe to remove the Large Copper Rocks throughout Eternity Isle, the player first needs toupgrade their Royal HourglasstoLevel 1. This allows the player to collect Ancient Cores when Timebending. This special material is required to craft upgrades for the Royal Tools and other important objects, includingAncient Machines.
To remove Large Copper Rocks, the player needs to craft aLarge Copper Rocks Pickaxe Potionat the Timebending Table. Unlike theMiracle Potions, which can be crafted in unlimited quantities at the regular crafting table, each Potion made at the Timebending Table can be crafted only once. Once crafted, the corresponding Royal Tool is automatically upgraded and players can now remove the Large Copper Rocks.
The Large Copper Rocks Pickaxe Potion, and others crafted at the Timebending Table, are not items which go into the player’s inventory. Instead, these Potions are automatically consumed when created and will permanently upgrade the corresponding Royal Tool’s capability.

To craft theLarge Copper Rocks Pickaxe Potion, the player should visit a Timebending Table and select the “Special” category to view available recipes. The player will need to gather the following materials:
How to Get Mist
Mistis a new currency that players can obtain when on Eternity Isle. Players can uncover Mist when Timebending with the Royal Hourglass, and will also receive Mist from regularlycompleting daily Mist Duties. This currency is used for unlocking new areas, upgrading the Royal Hourglass, and in nearly every new crafting recipe.
How to Get Ancient Core (Level 1)
To getAncient Core (Level 1), the player must first upgrade the Ancient Hourglass to Level 1. This allows the player to occasionally discover Ancient Core (Level 1) when Timebending. These treasures are rarer than others and are used in an assortment of crucial recipes.
How to Get Copper
Unsurprisingly,Copperis obtained by destroying Copper Rocks with the Royal Pickaxe once upgraded during the quest “The Flying Metal Nuisance.” Each small Copper Rock cluster will drop 1–2 pieces of Copper.
