There are many quests inDisney Dreamlight Valley, but some of them ought to be prioritized over others. One such example is Moana’s quest titled “Fixing the Boat,” as completing this quest will reward players with a steady supply of fish that they can sell, cook gift, or use for quests. This quest can be somewhat difficult to complete, however, especially since it can be attained fairly early on if players choose to go to Moana’s realm beforegoing to Wall-E’s or Remy’s realms. Even so, with a little dedication and patience, players will have Moana’s boat up and running in no time.
The first step to completing thisDisney Dreamlight Valleyquest is unlocking it, so players should go to Moana’s realm and convince her to return to the valley. As with all friendship quests, players will first need to get Moana’s friendship level high enough before the quest becomes available. In this case, Moana just needs to be level 2.

Accept Moana’s Quest
Accept Moana’s quest and she will take players to the beach to show them that her boat is in disrepair. The first step to this quest is to collect materials in preparation for fixing the boat. All total, players will need the following:
- 70 Fiber
- 3 Pink Hydrangeas
Softwood can be found on the ground in any biome, usually spawning near trees. It’s always good practice to pick up and stockpile as much wood as possible since it is needed for many quests and recipes. Fiber is crafted from seaweed at a rate of five fiber per one seaweed. Tofarm seaweed inDreamlight Valley, use the fishing rod in any water that is not bubbling or look around near the water’s edge. Finally, pink Hydrangeas can be found growing on the beach, just look around for bright pink flowers.
After acquiring these materials, players need to head to a crafting table and make them into parts for the boat. Using the materials they’ve just harvested players need to craft the following:
- 3 Baskets
- 4 Ropes
Now go give these items to Moana to repair the boat. After this, a mysterious object known as a Leader Shard will appear, show it to Moana to finish the quest. These Leader Shards areimportant to Moana’s questline, but players will need to continue befriending her to find out how.
With Moana’s boat repaired, she will now go sailing and catch fish for the player automatically. Simply return to the boat occasionally to gather up whatever she has caught. Players can also interact with the Scrooge sign next to the boat to upgrade it, allowing the boat to store more fish at once and catchrarer types ofDreamligth Valleyfish.
