It seems like every other dayDestiny 2players discover that a gun in the game is bugged and now a new exotic has entered the fray. The only difference is the latest bugged exotic has been causing problems inDestiny 2for a while now.

Destiny 2 players have discovered that the Telesto exotic fusion rifle can give them free special ammo in large quantities. It’s not a game-breaking bug by any means and it doesn’t significantly boost the damage of the weapon like the bug with theWish-Ender bow, but it is still a part of the game that is not operating as intended.

The key to this latestDestiny 2bug is thenew seasonal mod called Heavy Handed. This mod has two perks associated with it, one focused on melee energy and the other is tied to some secondary weapons. It’s the second perk, called Lock and Load, that is bugged and giving players absurd amounts of ammo.

The Lock and Load perk says that while surrounded by multiple enemies, defeating an enemy with a Fusion Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, or Submachine Gun adds ammo for that weapon to your reserves. However, the perk appears to count each bolt from Telesto as an enemy killed, and adds ammo for those “kills” to the player’s reserves.

Players still need to be surrounded by multiple enemies for this to work, but it is an easy way to get a lot of ammo without much work. Of course, this only works with Telesto, which isn’t a very strong weapon to begin with, but it’s still something inDestiny 2not working as intended.

For Telesto this is just another in a long list of bugs and exploits inDestiny 2. First, there was a bug that allowed Telesto bolts to count asenemies killed in the Blind Wellactivity and then there was a bug that allowed Telesto to give players instant Super energy. Now this time the bolts are causing their own problems for Bungie’s developers.

While we don’t think that this warrantsBungie disabling Telestolike when the Super energy exploit was discovered, it may require some quick work from the devs. At the very least, Bungie has acknowledged that it is aware of the bug and perhaps there may be a fix the next timeDestiny 2receives an update.
