Destiny 2players are unhappy with rewards from legend activities following the release of the Lightfall expansion this past February. The community is calling for changes toDestiny 2in order to earn meaningful loot from the game’s playlists every week and increase their Guardians' power levels.
The launch ofDestiny 2: Lightfallbrought several new additions and changes to the popular online shooter including Guardian Ranks and retuned difficulty settings for in-game content. Specifically, several difficulty changes were introduced tohigh-levelDestiny 2activitiessuch as raids, dungeons, and Nightfall strikes. Difficulty settings were streamlined into three options: Hero, Legend, and Master. Power level requirements for these activities make the game slightly less forgiving, but the slew of new weapons and abilities serve as a balancing act while attempting high-level content. However, severalDestiny 2players are unhappy with the rewards that come from conquering activities on the Legend difficulty.

Reddit user u/Trittium00 criticized the lack of meaningful rewards in Legend activities, and fellowDestiny 2players in the Reddit thread are also unhappy with the current reward structure. After spending a week completing Legend activities inDestiny 2, u/Trittium00 received very little rewards that helped toward progression of his Guardian. For example, six platinum completions ofthe Glassway Nightfall strikeresulted in just two Nightfall weapons and one Exotic armor piece on Legend difficulty. Additionally, the player completed dozens of Legend Lost Sectors without receiving a single Exotic armor piece. Players began to share their own experiences with Legend activities while calling for changes to the reward structure itself.
When compared to the Master difficulty, u/Trittium00 believes Legend activities no longer have a purpose if the player is near or at the power level to attempt activities at the Master level. Rewards such as Exotics, Ascendant Alloy, and Nightfall weapons drop at a much higher rate on Master difficulty, which meansDestiny 2players wanting to optimize their playtime must prioritize the most challenging difficulty. As a result, players are also unhappy with the climb to the seasonal power cap since Legend activities offer so little in return for the time investment.
Since player feedback is highly valued at Bungie, adjustments and changes to Legend activities inDestiny 2may be a possible area that the developers address in a future update. Legend activities may serve as an essential activity that helps players obtain pinnacle gear and increase their power level. Currently, Legend activities do not serve sufficient rewards that aidplayer progression inDestiny 2.
Destiny 2players looking to obtain the best possible gear may attemptthe Root of Nightmares raidwith a fireteam of six or compete in Trials of Osiris with two other players. When available, Grandmaster Nightfalls are another alternate for acquiring the best weapons and armor thatDestiny 2has to offer.
Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
