Upcoming anime tie-in gameDemon Slayer: The Hinokami Chroniclesunveiled a new trailer that showed off its single-player Adventure Mode in addition to its previously revealed Versus Mode.Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicleswill let fans play through the events of the anime’s first season as well as the film,Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train.
The trailer flashes through several iconic moments from the anime, such as Tanjiro’s battle with the legendarily powerful spider demon Rui and Zenitsu’s struggle against another member of the spider demon family. The trailer also depicted a lot of characters that fans of the series have come to love such as Nezuko and Shinobu.Demon Slayerfan-favorite Inosukenaturally made a few appearances as well.

Fans of the series celebrated the fact that the game is seemingly going to cover the story of the anime through its Mugen Train arc, which was the subject of the series' film. The trailer ends with the fiery swordmaster Rengoku facing off against the powerful demon Akaza, a fight that was a highlight of the film for many viewers. Some fans speculated that Akaza would be the final boss in the adventure mode, while others were hopeful that DLC would be added for more encounters.TheDemon Slayermangais already concluded, and some fans were clearly in a rush to see past the events of the current anime.
A majority of fans in the comments gushed over the game’s visuals, some even stating that the game looks exactly like the anime it is based on. The mode is seemingly a slight alteration of the previously shown Versus Mode, putting players in control ofDemon Slayerprotagonist Tanjiroas he looks to avenge his family and protect his sister. The end of the trailer with Rengoku suggests that players will get the chance to play as other slayers in some of their iconic encounters. While some specifics of the Adventure Mode remain vague, the trailer garnered a lot of excitement and fans were quick to show their approval.
