Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios’Dead Island 2may have dropped off the radar for a few years, but the zombie-killing action RPG is now very much alive and kicking after its re-reveal during Gamescom Opening Night Live earlier this year. Fans were a little disappointed after the recent news thatDead Island 2had been delayed yet again, but with its new April release date still looming, it won’t be too long until gamers can get their hands on the long-awaited title.
In an attempt to further pique player interest, thevarious editions ofDead Island 2have been revealed. These cover everything from the Standard Edition to a special HELL-A Edition that includes various physical and digital items for fans to enjoy. In addition to the various options, there will also be a pre-order bonus to help encourage those early sales, all of which are available to order now.

Some fans may be itching toplayDead Island 2as soon as possible, so it would make sense that they’d want to pre-order Deep Silver’s upcoming title and get their hands on the release from day one. If any gamers are planning on pre-ordering, they’ll be able to access the Memories of Banoi Pack, which features a number of in-game items like the Banoi War Club, the Banoi Baseball Bat, the Balanced Weapons Perk, and a Personal Space Skill Card.
For any players looking topick upDead Island 2as a physical copy, they have a few options to choose from. There is of course the Standard Edition, which includes a copy of the base game for either PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S. For any early birds, the Day One Edition comes with the Pre-Order Bonus as well.
Gamers can also opt for theDead Island 2Pulp Edition, which comes with a physical copy of the base game on a platform of their choice, the Pre-Order Bonus, and theDead Island 2Pulp Weapons Pack which includes in-game itemsthe ‘Homewrecker’ Sledge Hammer and the ‘Eye Opener’ Pitchfork to help them mete out some punishment on their undead foes.
If players would like to go digital instead,Dead Island 2has a few downloadable versionswith some additional content. The Standard Digital Edition mirrors the physical one, with just the base game and a Pre-Order Bonus available. The Deluxe Edition ofDead Island 2also comes with some bonus content in the form of the Golden Weapons Pack and Character Pack 1 & 2 which features a unique costume and weapon for the playable protagonists.
Dead Island 2Gold Edition features all of the above, in addition to the Pulp Weapons Pack and an Expansion Pass so players are ready for all the post-launch content that Deep Silver will be releasing. WhileDead Island 2’s DLC currently remains a mystery, it will hopefully include a range of content like new modes, activities, and story missions alongside the standard items and cosmetics.
