Call of Duty: Warzoneis constantly making balancing changes based on Raven’s data and player feedback, though not every buff and nerf is received well. One example of the community pushing back against some changes can be seen with some recentCall of Duty: Warzonehelicopter adjustments, as many see them as a step too far.
This is hardly the first time that the community has criticizedCall of Duty: Warzone’s aerial vehicles. Recently,Call of Duty: Warzone’s planes were temporarily removedfrom the Vanguard Royale playlist since they were causing crashes to occur. Before long, players chimed in to say that they hope the plane removal is permanent, as many do not like dealing with the vehicle type. While the basic helicopters are far less controversial, some gamers have pushed back against this major buff to their health, though all signs do point to it being an accidental health increase as opposed to a conscious choice on Raven’s end.

Many feel that the buff in question must have been unintentional on the part ofRaven Softwaresince it is far too extreme. Normally, players could take down helicopters with explosives easily, and while a case could be made that they should be slightly more durable, what is being seen recently is undoubtedly a step too far. A clip from Reddit user fletchthe2nd highlights just how problematic this health buff is, as they needed to land 6 rocket shots, detonate a few pieces of C4, and fire some LMG rounds into a helicopter just to destroy it.
Seeing the vehicle shrug off launcher shots is absurd, though the fact that it was able to survive twopieces of C4that were detonated at the same time is even more ridiculous. The player eventually destroys the vehicle after firing their LMG into the helicopter, though the clip makes it extremely clear that the vehicles are not working as intended. Unfortunately, based on the comment section of the post, this is not an isolated problem and is occurring for many gamers.
In the comments,Call of Duty: Warzoneplayersshared their experiences with the tanky vehicles. For example, jcascio147 revealed that a JOKR missile only took a third of their helicopter’s health. Further, Redditor Shyman4ever shared that something similar happened with a car in one of their games, as it survived two C4 explosions. According to fletchthe2nd, only ATVs are still one-rocket kills, meaning that the massive health buff is impacting a vast majority of the battle royale game’s vehicles.
Hopefully, Raven Software addresses thisCall of Duty: Warzoneissuesooner rather than later. With how extensive this health increase is, it is hard to believe that it was intentional.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
