Call of Duty: Warzonehas largely been a success, with its free-to-play model attracting fans and its gameplay competing with the best of the battle royale genre. Despite being free-to-play,Call of Duty: Warzonehas had plenty of updatesthat have kept players returning to the game. With a large player base, it is inevitable to find some anomalies in the game, but two professional players found an incredible glitch that if replicated could change the way the game is played.

During a stream Vikram “Vikkstar” Singh Barn, who plays inCall of DutyLeague which is currently ongoing despite the pandemic, and his teammate Thomas “Tommey” Trewren encountered a rare situation. The players had won three consecutive matches and while playing another game Tommey went into the gas to get weaponry when something strange happened to their gas mask.

While in the gas Tommey noticed that the gas mask despite being at breaking point remained undamaged and usable. The shocked players waited to see how long this situation would continue and the gas mask lasted for the entire duration of the game which was a further five minutes and thirty-seven seconds. While it is unclear why this instance occurred inCall of Duty: Warzone, it has raised some suspicions from viewers of the stream. The footage of this strange event begins at 7:15.

Despite Vikkstar being a partneredCall of Dutystreamer and YouTube content creator, some viewers have questioned the clips of one of the highest-earningWarzoneTournament players. Viewers' suspicions are mainly centered on the fact that Vikkstar uses a PC rather than a console but given the fact that the player has achieved so much in this title, it seems unlikely that they would deliberately cheat. WhileCall of Duty: Warzonehas had cheating issues, the streamer who has proven skill in the game is unlikely to be part of that subsection of the gaming community.

WhileWarzonehas had some crazy glitches, this has been one of the most advantageous. Many players may risk testing the limits of their gas mask after seeing this footage, but it seems unlikely that this would occur again. While Vikkstar and Tommey would have been many viewers favorites to win the game regardless of the glitch, it is still a rare occurrence and one that many players will wish that they could take advantage of.
