Call of Duty: Modern Warfarereceives playlist updates on a weekly basis, and next week will be no different. In the latest community update, Infinity Ward has revealed some of the new content thatCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers can look forward to next week, though stopped short of providing a specific release date.
Infinity Ward has confirmed that next week’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplaylist update will add a new Gunfight variant in the form of 3v3 Snipers on Rust. The game previously had a 3v3 Gunfight Snipers only mode, but not for the recently releasedMW2map Rust.

Speaking of Gunfight, fans of the game mode also have to look forward to a new map coming to game next week. Originally meant to launch alongsideModern Warfareseason 2, thenew Gunfight map Bazaarwill be added to the rotation with the next playlist update. Based on what we’ve seen of the map so far, it seems like Bazaar is going to have more of a vertical element to its map design than most other Gunfight maps, which could be interesting.
Ground Waris also getting some love with the nextModern Warfareplaylist update. Infinity Ward will be adding Infantry Ground War to the game, which is a variant that gets rid of tanks and APCs. Regular Ground War will still be available to players who prefer to play with vehicles, however.
Meanwhile,Call of Duty: Modern Warfarefans also have double XP to take advantage of this weekend. Double XP is live inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareright now and fans can utilize it to rise through the ranks at a much quicker pace than usual.
Looking ahead, there’s even more content coming toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare. Future updates will continue to add Season 2 content to the game, including new maps, game modes, and more, like the long-awaitedInfected Ground War match type. Specific release details on this new content is unavailable at the time of this writing, but expect Infinity Ward to share more information sooner rather than later.
