Players learned that the story will follow the conflict between superpowers as a dark power continues to grow. While the two massive nations fight, this dark power brews its vengeance in what is being called the Dark Aether story. In previous comments, the developers have assured the community that everything in the Aether story is canon and did happen. With theconclusion ofBlack Ops 4Zombies,players watched as the heroes sacrificed themselves and collapsed the entire multiverse to the Dark Aether. While everyone hoped for a single reality, what brewed in its absence may be even worse than the original problem.
Gameplay has already been revealed and players learned in previous updates that the main cast of theupcomingCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombies experiencewill be operators from the Multiplayer game mode. Players will get to bring their skins, equipment, and skills to the battlefield to once again save the world from a dark and evil power.
Alongside a return to the main Aether timeline, players will see the return ofclassicCall of DutyPerk-o-Colas. These upgradable perks are found randomly around the map along with being available from the Mystery Box. There are tons of updates and changes coming to this game mode that will break the standard expectation and, hopefully, elevate the game above previous game modes.
