Diablo 2has been a fan favorite title among fans of both Blizzard and RPGs in general since its release in 2000. Earlier this year, Blizzard officially announced the return to the world of Sanctuary withDiablo 2: Resurrected, the first full game to release in the franchise sinceDiablo 3in 2012. To accompany the hotly-anticipated release, Blizzard has been hosting a series of giveaways leading up to the title’s launch with the most recent featuring a spectacularDiablo-themed Xbox Series X.

The first two days of Blizzard’sDiablo 2-themed giveaways featured custom NZXT PCs and “the final challenge” is giving away agorgeousDiabloXbox Series X. The stunning design features a cracking magma aesthetic across the console with the series' iconic pentagram featured dead center. Atop the console rests the Lord of Terror Diablo himself that looks like the Prime Abyss is emerging from the console itself. The promotional image doesn’t give a clear view from all angles but it appears to be a 3D Diablo emerging from the console, giving the custom console a wholly demonic feel.
The development of aDiablo 2remaster being in the works for Blizzard was something of an open secret among fans of the franchise for years preceding its release. When talk of a remaster swirled in 2019, the originalDiablocreators thought theproject was unlikely to happendue to the loss of the game’s original source code. Rumors continued to swirl about the project with Vicarious Visions, known for their work on classic remasters, rumored to be in on the project before the title’s formal announcement earlier this year.
Interested fans can enter into the giveaway by visiting theDiabloTwitter account and replying to the giveaway tweet with a picture of theirmost prizedDiablo-related possession. PassionateDiablofans have already taken to the replies showing off their collection ofDiablogames, merchandise, and sentimental valuables. The entry period for the giveaway will run through tonight, September 23, at 11:59 P.M. PT. The winner of the Xbox Series X will be announced the following day at 10:30 A.M. PT through the officialDiabloTwitter account.
