Star Warshas seen several stories throughout the years. The galaxy far, far away has entertained audiences with countless tales of sci-fi escapades and fantasy lore. The advantage to video games, however, is that they can go in radically different directions through bonus levels or other what-if scenarios.

Some titles have run wild with this, coming up with truly bizarre scenarios that practically break the universe in half. Most of these stem fromtaking the Dark Side path, which is not surprising. After all, it’s just fun to be bad.
8Emperor Skywalker
TheRevenge of the Sithgame contains two sets of levels: one for Anakin and another for Obi-Wan. This makes sense since they both further the plot at different points, but players can fight their final battle from both perspectives. Those playing as Skywalker, however, will get an unexpected twist.
Rather than losing his remaining limbs, he jumps right over Kenobi and kills him. Not content with that victory, he then guts the Emperor with his newly-acquired red lightsaber and takes control of the galaxy. The high ground counts for naught.
7Starkiller Beats Ben Kenobi (Twice)
Darth Vader’ssecret apprenticegets a choice at the end ofThe Force Unleashed. Pursuing vengeance against his master results in disaster, leading to Starkiller becoming the Emperor’s newest puppet. The DLC expands on that, having him track downLuke Skywalker and the other iconic heroesduring the originalStar Warsfilm.

As theMillennium Falcontakes off from Tatooine, Ben Kenobi covers the party’s escape by dueling the damaged Sith. Toppling the old geaser is simple enough, but his Force ghost soon rises and continues the fight. So much for not being able to interfere. Luckily, this apparition also goes down with enough effort. How can he die if he’s a ghost? Maybe it goes byDragon Ballrules: being killed again erases him from existence.
6Starkiller Makes Luke His Apprentice
The second expansion continues the Dark Side DLC. Here, Starkiller chases the heroes to Hoth duringThe Empire Strikes Back, but he’s once again too late to catch theFalcon. It’s Luke Skywalker who stalls for time now.
Sadly, he doesn’t ascend to a higher plane like Obi-Wan, instead giving in to the Dark Side. He even shoots his own brand of lightning. Starkiller still smacks him down, of course, but he resolves to teach Skywalker to hone his new powers.If only it was that easy to corrupt him in the films…
5Starkiller Vs. Leia
The Force Unleashed IIfollows the former’s lead and offers a similar moral choice at the end. This time, the vengeful protagonist is killed by a clone, who’s been perfected as the ultimate Sith warrior. For the DLC, this new Starkiller journeys to Endor and crashes right intoReturn of the Jedi, but he’s in for an extra surprise.
Han and Chewie go down in predictable (yet no less brutal) ways. The battle’s climax, though, is a duel with Leia. She’s since become a full-fledged Jedi, and she gives Starkiller a run for his money. Sadly, this training only delays the inevitable; she still can’t conquer the seasoned Sith Lord. So passes the last Jedi. It’sbetter than her treatment in the sequel trilogy, though.
4Revan Takes The Top Spot
One would think that Darth Revan’s amnesia gives him a second chance to walk a more heroic path inKnights of the Old Republic. The beauty of an RPG, however, is thatplayers can take the protagonist anywhere they want. If Revan reverts to his darker ways, the party is torn asunder, with some members even killing each other. The remainders then lure the Republic fleet right into a trap, a deadly ploy that reduces them to space dust.
To cap things off, players wrest control of the Sith Empire back from Malak. Revan is once again the Dark Lord, and he vows to turn his armies on the last remnants of resistance. This isn’t the first or last time players have seen a Dark Side ending, but no game has yet to capture the same satisfaction of seeing it on all fronts.
3The Carbonite Sith Army
Remember when freezing someone in carbonite was considered risky? Apparently, it’s a great way to preserve people for when you need them; it’s like putting food in the fridge. In theForces of Corruptionexpansion forEmpire at War, a Nightsister named Silri follows a Sith holocron to an ancient tomb. Here lies an army of Dark Side warriors, perfectly preserved and waiting to be awoken.

Players never see anything beyond this, so they can only assume she unleashed these Sith on her enemies. She wouldn’t have much trouble since the Jedi are few at this point. It’s theStar Warsequivalent ofThe Mummy, but there’s no one to vanquish these villains.
2The Search For Soul Calibur
While investigating a disturbance, Darth Vader and Yoda are whisked away to another dimension, specifically that ofSoul Calibur. Both their paths lead to the same place, but they have radically different goals. Vader wants to use the mythical blades–Soul Calibur and Soul Edge–to strengthen the Empire; Yoda seeks to prevent this.
Either way, the tale involves two masters of the Force dealing with mystical powers they scarcely understand. More amusing is seeing them tackle enemies like Mitsurugi, Sophitia, and Voldo. Now, who saidtheStar Warscharacters don’t fit this game?
1Jabba’s Demolition Derby
ThoughStar Wars: Demolitiontries to place itself within the established continuity, it’s hard to imagine these events occurring during the franchise’s weirdest times. When the Empire bans podracing, Jabba the Hutt comes up with a more dangerous sport to bring in the big bucks. Basically,a bunch of vehicles get into an arena and blow each other up.
Crafts from all overStar Warshistory compete, from the droid tanks of the Separatist army to the humble desert landspeeder to a tamed rancor.The odd one out is Boba Fett, who simply flies around with his jetpack and doesn’t sport his iconic spaceship (probably because he couldn’t live withDisney’snew name for it). Granted, many fans would love ifStar Warswent allTwisted Metal. Even in a series about space wizards and blowing up planets, though, a contest like this might be a bit too insane.
