Summary
Players who venture intoBlack Desert Onlinefor the first time may be stunned by the game’s penchant for high-octane, fast-paced gameplay. After all, the martial arts MMO allows players to pull off a wide variety of slick weapon movements, hand-to-hand stunts, and even energy blasts from its roster of unique classes. However, for players who want to become of the game’s intense endgame, their characters need to race past lower levels first.
At first glance, the game’s expansive story and multiple questlines might make leveling seem extremely overwhelming. However, players who know exactly where to farm and the sequence of their progress may find their grind more bearable than expected. For players who want to focus on grinding through the game’s PVE element, certain locations provide decent drops and even quite a lot of Silver per hour of play depending on how players manage enemy spawns and rotations. Here are areas to take note of.

Updated Jun 23, 2025 by Rhenn Taguiam:With the swordmaster Dusa having just arrived in Black Desert Online last July 3, fans of the martial arts MMO might be excited to bring his cloud and mist-based gameplay and see how it fares against the game’s tougher raid bosses and even against other builds in PVP. However, players who still want to raise their characters before dabbling into endgame content might be wondering where they should go next for grinding through PVE.
Thankfully, the game offers quite a lot of locations where players can enjoy tearing down mob after mob of monsters - especially when it comes to acquiring as much Silver as possible as well as other rewards. Locations include specific dungeons accessible through portals, the new settlement of Red Orcs, a forest that even spirits dread venturing into, and an extremely dangerous crypt.

Hourly Estimated Silver (via Garmoth, 08/23 to 01/24)
~370M
Notable Drops (Crafting, Artifacts)
Valtarra Eclipsed Belt, Marsh’s Artifacts, Black Stone (Armor, Weapon), Forest Fury, Krogdalo’s Origin Stone
Notable Drops (Others)
Caphras Stone
Players enjoying theirBlack Desert Onlinegameplay can go toMirumok Ruinsto begin their midlevel grind due to the presence of the eponymous mobs. The Ruins are said to be the home of the Mirumok Temple, which itself is guarded by the ancient weapons the area is named after. These strong machines are made of special minerals and wood, but they have become corrupted over time.
While considered one of the fewparty-ideal grinding areas in the game, both soloists and parties should be able to work with a decent amount of both loot and experience from their runs. The key part of the gameplay loop here is to attack the towers that spawn extra mobs only after killing the initial mobs. This way, players can secure a more consistent farming rotation, especially when playing as a pair or even as a duo. Ideal items of acquisition here are Black Stones, Marsh’s Artifacts, and Valtarra’s Eclipsed Belt.

-
Tucked deep within Hasrah Cliff isKratuga Ancient Ruins, a site of knowledge and technology lost to time. Players enjoying their gameplay as any one ofBlack Desert Onlineclasses can rely on Kratuga Ancient Ruins for their midlevel grind, especially if they’re out to collect their first few artifacts in the game.

Players first need the Black Spirit Claw to access Kratuga Ancient Ruins, with the main area located along the left wall of Hasrah Cliff. Despite being similar to other grinding spots, popping Agris Fury and farming Kratuga Ancient Ruins run a higher chance of rewarding players simply looking for artifacts and other valuable items.
Dust, Abyssal Essence
Its location off the coast of Iliya Island makesSycraia Underwater Ruins (Abyssal)a surprising presence in a player’s grinding rotation. In terms of the lore, the Underwater Ruins were once home to the long-lost Ancients civilization, although not much has been deduced out of its original purpose or how it ended up being so deep underwater. Automatons who once served the Ancients lie in its waters, serving as foes that players have to face.
Accessing the area isn’t possiblevia horse travel. Instead, players need to use the game’s escape function after swimming to the area proper north of Iliya Island. This glitch brings them to the Underwater Ruins area, where they can do two dailies in succession. Accessing the main grind location from this point needs the Memory of the Deep Sea, which can be formed with Fragments of the Deep Sea. Thankfully, farming the mobs here shouldn’t be extremely difficult as long as players pull them in groups and attack them from behind. The area can become a decent spot for Tungrad Rings, Deboreka Earrings, and Ancient Seal Shards.

~677M
Shard of the Furious Night, Heart of the Arid Forest, Black Stone (Weapon, Armor), Sealed Black Magic Crystal
Oily Orange Mushroom, Seed of Void, Valtarra’s Flame,
Located in Elvia Serendia, the area known as theOrc Campwas initially a Human territory that was eventually occupied by Red Orcs during the conflict between Serendia and Calpheon. Serving as their main base of operations, Red Orcs have begun using their natural aggression and combat instincts to expand their territory in surrounding regions.
Players enjoying theirBlack Desert Onlineexperiencewho want to use the Orc Camp as a focal point of their farming routines may appreciate the number of Red Orc mobs in the area. However, this area’s popularity among gamers may mean players must time their rotations to maximize EXP and item gain. Notable drops from the area include the Shard of the Furious Night, Oily Orange Mushrooms, and Black Stones.

~562M
Flame of Frost, Ember of Frost (Labreska’s Helmet), Forgotten Witch’s Token
Caphras Stones
Situated deep inside the Mountain of Eternal Winter, players who want toupgrade theirBlack Desert Onlineplaythroughs with stronger buildscan start gearing up in theJade Starlight Forest. The straightforward nature of the Jade Starlight Forest as well as its collectible Flames, Embers, and Tokens make it a popular grinding spot for a player’s early endgame scenario. It’s advisable to do regular rotations and destroy the brazier or special totem present with each group of mobs to make combat easier. Mobs here spam AOEs regularly, making it advisable for players to watch their ground all the time.
Popping Agris Fever for extra trash loot can significantly increase a player’s Silver earnings. However, Jade Starlight Forest is popular for its potential Forgotten Witch’s Token drops, especially when it can spawn Erethea’s Limbo that players can complete for several rewards ranging from Ancient Magic Crystals of Nature, Heavenly Essences, and Black Stones.

Predator’s Roots, Crimson Bells
Previously home to priests worshipping the benevolent god Elion in Serendia, the red of Elion’s radiance turned into that of blood when the abandonedBloody Monasterybecame the sacrificial ground of cultists worshipping Kzarka, the Lord of Corruption. Led by the bloodthirsty Muskan, the Bloody Monastery’s cultists can become worth the Silver grind for players who know how to maximize the mobs’ spawning opportunities.
Key to farming the Bloody Monastery is its rotation, especially when enemies start dropping Crimson Bells. It’s advised to pop Crimson Bells during fights so more enemies spawn close to the player faster, as doing the process while standing up can waste valuable time. Drops of interest from Bloody Monastery include the Moon Split Nail and Shard of the Drained Night.

~744M (Hystria), ~709M (Aakman)
Black Stone (Armor, Weapon), Deboreka Earring, Scroll Written in Ancient Language, Imperfect Lightstone of Fire, Ancient Spirit Dust, Tungrad Necklace, Tungrad Earring, Sealed Black Magic Crystal, Ancient Spirit Dust

However, even the area beneath the desert has its fair share of mysteries, as players close to their character’s endgame may choose to farm valuable Scrolls Written in Ancient Language among other loot in theHystria Ruinsand theAakman Temple.
Instead of having traditional Nodes, players can access both locations using portals scattered across the desert. Unless the player is a Sage, they need a Black’s Spirit Claw Piece to open the portals of each location. Entering a bordered portal accesses Hystria Ruins, a dungeon filled with reactivated Ancient Automatons that seemingly guard artifacts. Meanwhile, a borderless portal accesses Aakman Temple, the home of the Aakman Tribe. Both locations contain many mobs, making it an ideal location for players to constantly farm various items and materials.

Tainted Specter’s Cloth, Deboreka Necklace, Black Stone (Weapon, Armor), Ancient Spirit Dust, Imperfect Lightstones (Fire, Earth, Wind), Quturan’s (Black Leaf, Left Lung), Rich Merchant’s Ring Piece
Caphras Stone, Forgotten Limbo Seal, Dehkia’s Lantern Fuel, Mass of Pure Magic

Players on the prowl for their Quturan’s items, Rich Merchant’s Ring Piece, and Caphras Stones may appreciate farming the general area withinAsh Forest. Notable in the lore for being an area avoided by spirits due to its connection with death, the location has scattered mobs that may ruin a player’s rotation unless properly planned.
However, challenging Ash Forest runs may be worthwhile for MMO players who have their rotations in check. On top of earning them high Silver per hour, the area is notable for dropping Quturan’s Black Leaves and Left Lungs. Mobs in Ash Forest shouldn’t pose that much of a threat to players who have mobileBlack Desert Onlinebuilds, especially since their scattered nature means players are free to disengage and focus on smaller groups of enemies in case of emergencies.
~878M
Abyssal Ash, Deboreka Belt, Imperfect Lightstones (Wind, Fire, Earth), Ancient Spirit Dust, Black Stones (Weapon, Armor), Ah’krad, Quturan’s (Black Leaf, Ashen Leaf, Right Lung, Left Lung), Rich Merchant’s Ring Piece
Caphras Stone, Limbo Forgotten Seal
Located in a cave east of Grana and south of Calpheon, theCrypt of Resting Thoughtsis an endgame dungeon that can pose quite a challenge to a player’sBlack Desert Onlineexperience. Being a late-game location, mobs in the Crypt can deal heavy damage at various ranges, with large Wolf Spearmaidens aided by Beast Trainers, Dark Chasers, and even spellcasters to overwhelm players.
Recommended builds for rotations includeBlack Desert Onlinesetups focusing on evasion and damage reduction for defense while securing criticals is important to maximize offensive potential. The area is worth farming for its Quturan’s items, Rich Merchant’s Ring Piece, and Imperfect Lightstones, all of which are items players need to slowly build a more consistent endgame experience.
Caphras Stones, Peridot Leaf
Players interested indeep-diving into the lore of the world ofBlack Desert Onlineneed only to explore the quests of its many regions, with Kamasylvia being a land torn between the fight of its elven citizens the Ganelle and the Vedir. However, when players get to theGyfin Rhasia Temple, they will find evidence that there was a third missing civilization in Kamasylvia’s history. While its role in both the lore and theBlack Desertstory is yet to be seen, Gyfin Rhasia Temple remains one of the ideal grinding spots for players close to the endgame.
What makes the Gyfin Rhasia Temple (Underground) especially dangerous to players is its unique color-based mechanics. Buffs the players possess indicate which colored mob they should focus on, with other mobs changing colors whenever one group dies. The area’s requirement to kill specific targets can make fights especially overwhelming, although experience and loot such as Tungrad Belt and Tungrad Necklace can be acquired fast here.
