The fans ofApex Legendshave been on a bit of a roller coaster ride leading up to the start of Season 4. Outside of various leaks that may have taken some of the bite out of the surprising twists Respawn Entertainment had planned, fans were expecting to see the new hero Forge get added to the main roster of characters. However, players were bamboozled when a trailer showed the character gettingkilled off by the actual new legend, Revenant. Fans got a bit more background on this robotic terror last week and now, Respawn has pulled back the curtain a bit more on what to expect in Season 4.
The latest season 4 trailer forApex Legendsfocuses on the gameplay aspects arriving on February 4. The biggest addition for many is the new character Revenant, a murderous robot, hellbent on revenge. While the trailer dfoesn’t specifically go into each of his abilities and moves, it does give fans a look by showing his execution, summoning an object that creates clone versions of the character while also letting the player fire off a bolt of energy. His clones can climb walls and Revenant appears to have a grappling hook to quickly scale buildings as well.

Outside of the new character, Season 4 introduces a Ravaged version of World’s Edge, where a giant Planet Harvesting device has been placed in the center of the map by fictional corporation, Hammond Robotics. The trailer also hints that the planet harvester may also be causing a few other side effects around the map as well.
The Sentinel, a new bolt action sniper rifle also makes its debut this season. As shown in the video, this is a devastating long range weapon where players can shut down enemies before they’re even spotted. Keep in mind that since this month marks the one year anniversary of the game’s original release, players can earn a weapon charmjust for logging in during Season 4.
A new Battle Pass will also be available at the start of season 4 with plenty of daily and weekly challenges to help players level up. The trailer also shows off a few rewards it offers including new character skins with a cybernetic twist to them. Wraith becomes the Perfect Soldier, Lifeline gets the Health Drain rare skin, Wattson gets a futuristic Cyberpunked legendary skin, while Crypto and Caustic also get brief appearances. For those hoping to see an Ash skin as a nod to the villain fromTitanfall 2, unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t provide any teases of it existing.
Players hoping to see King’s Canyon once again, Respawn is bringing back the classic Battle Royale map to the game’s Ranked Mode this season. In fact,Ranked is going to be split into two different partswith the first split coming at the start of Season 4, which features the Remixed version of World’s Edge. After a set number of weeks, the second split will begin and swap over to the King’s Canyon map where it’ll be in play until season 4 comes to a close on May 5.
