Why Apex Legends Players Are Boycotting The New Bloodhound Skin

In a leak from February 3, gamers learned possible details about the release of the Prestige Bloodhound skin. According to this new information, the skin was reportedly taking the place of theheirlooms associated with previous Collection eventsforApex Legends. As a result, players would be required to obtain all the exclusive cosmetics available during this 3rd-anniversary event in order to unlock this new look for Bloodhound. With a potential 24 total cosmetics, the cost of obtaining the Prestige skin could run close to $164. As one might expect, this leak did not sit well with some gamers.

Since learning about this latest leak for the Prestige Bloodhound skin inApex Legends, numerous players have taken to Reddit to express their discontent. While some admitted that it looked impressive, the main sticking point for many fans was the possible exorbitant price tag attached to the skin. For many, the issue came down to whether this cosmetic should be considered as valuable as the heirlooms released during previous Collection events.

According to numerous gamers on Reddit, the answer to that question appeared to be an emphatic no. Some players, such as hootboy2000000, went so far as to suggest that the Apex Legendscommunity should refrain from purchasing cosmetics during the event and promoted the hashtag “BoycottApexAnniversary.” Since making this suggestion on Reddit, over 10.7K people have upvoted the post.
