Among the new additions is Vantage, the latest Legend added to the game. However, this is not the only way Respawn Entertainment has looked to change things up in Season 14. The developer has made some changes to theKings Canyon mapas well.
While Kings Canyon is the oldest map inApex Legends, it has seen many changes since it launched with the battle royale in 2019. With the release of Season 14, Respawn Entertainment has added theRelic PoI, a new area similar to the classic Skull Town. While this might be the most noteworthy change, the map has seen other alterations. For example, one fan recently made an intriguing discovery about one of the updated areas around Market.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as andrew_baseball21 shared a video he captured whileplaying as Valkyrie inApex Legends. According to the Reddit user, he had uncovered what he thought could be one of the best hiding spots in the game. The clip started with the player traveling through one of the updated tunnels near the Market PoI on the Kings Canyon map. After looting a blue loot bin, he used his VTOL jets to fly upwards and into an opening, revealing a small cave above the tunnel. Once inside the cave, andrew_baseball21 showed that the hidden area was quite large and could fit an entire team, making it an effective “rat spot” in theApex Legends.
It is worth noting that only Legends with certain abilities, such as Valkyrie, seem to be able to reach the area. This could be problematic for several reasons. Not only does it allow teams to use the secret cave to catch opposing squads off guard, but players could also be invulnerable to attack as they can back further into the hiding spot for cover unless an enemy team has grenades to throw into the opening.
Unsurprisingly, numerousmembers of theApex Legendscommunityon Reddit have taken notice of this unusual hiding place highlighted by andrew_baseball21. In less than a day, the post has gathered more than 4.2K upvotes, with many discussing how the secret cave could impact gameplay. Among the comments, one user described it as “a rat’s paradise.” In addition, some noted that they had seen players in the location. “Saw someone up there last night…. only thing that gave them away was a vantage using her ult,” bluethunder40 said on Reddit.
It will be interesting to see how the developers at Respawn Entertainment respond to the discovery of this secret cave inApex Legends. While the location is intriguing to a number of gamers, it could give some teams an unfair advantage due to its hidden location and the inability of those without specific Legends to access it. Time will tell if it gets removed in an upcoming patch for the game.
