Summary
During its presentation at the start of the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES),AMDconfirmed that the Radeon RX 7600 XT would be the latest graphics card in its current lineup. With a starting MSRP of $330,AMDaimed to give budget-minded PC builders an affordable GPU with specs targeted towards 1080p and 1440p resolutions.
The reveal of the Radeon RX 7600 XT came after rumors thatthe new GPU from AMD would have 16GB of VRAMand that partners such as Gigabyte would manufacture the cards. Suffice it to say, the rumors proved correct in that regard, as this new offering from AMD has twice the video memory as the Radeon RX 7600. In addition, the Radeon RX 7600 XT will have slightly higher clock speeds, up to 2,755 MHz under load, and it will be capable of using technologies such as FSR 2, FSR 3, and frame generation in compatible games such asAvatar: Frontiers of PandoraandStarfield.

The Radeon RX 7600 XT will launch on Wednesday, January 24, with a starting price point of $330. Between the price and the available VRAM, the RX 7600 XT may be a contender for one ofthe top AMD GPUs of 2024. By comparison, the Radeon RX 7600 launched at $269 in May 2023, so the $60 markup will grant PC builders 16GB of GDDR6 video memory instead of 8GB. However, the RX 7600 XT will have the same 128-bit memory bus as its non-XT predecessor, which may limit its capability to render games at 1440p without some graphical adjustments by users on a case-by-case basis. But, the extra VRAM and low price tag make the RX 7600 XT a viable choice for playing games at 1080p.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT Pricing and Specs
In addition to FSR, users who pair the Radeon RX 7600 XT witha budget-friendly AMD CPUsuch as the Ryzen 5 7600X or 5600X can access proprietary technologies such as Smart Access Memory and HYPR-RX to boost framerates without sacrificing much image quality. On social media, reactions to the RX 7600 XT were mixed. While some users were glad to see a new budget-focused option with 16GB of VRAM, others claimed that the new Radeon graphics card was too similar to the 16GB version of Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti to warrant a purchase.
Despite the criticism and the pending launch ofthe RTX 40 Super Series GPUs from Nvidia, AMD remains focused on offering PC builders more choices for less money. Only time will tell how consumers will respond in turn.
Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC
The Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 Gaming OC is a triple-fan dual-slot graphics card that brings Gigabyte’s effective WINDFORCE cooling technology. It has three 80mm fans with alternate spinning that work alongside the five composite copper heat pipes that directly touch the GPU. The GPU uses the highest-grade metal chokes, 2oz copper PCB, lower ESR solid capacitors, and lower RDS(on) MOSFETs, among other features.
