Elden Ringhas been out for a little over a couple of months now, and the anticipatedcontent and memes fromThe Lord of the Ringshave finally arrived. Recently, a player hadrecreated Frodo and Sam’s trek to Mordor inElden Ring, with events from their journey authentically substituted for events and interactions that happen inElden Ring’s own Lands Between.
Indeed, a common thread in the community’s memes now is to substitute the Tarnished player-character with a character from another franchise who is then out of place, yet their selected transparent clips make for fun reactions that are relatable to all players. YouTuber Dolan Darker, for example, has made an edit ofBreaking Bad’s Walter White making his way throughElden Ring’s Lands Between. Now, another YouTuber has shared their edit of a hilarious visit to the Lands Between, but this time withThe Lord of the Ring’s heir of Isildur.

YouTuber eli_handle_b.wav creatively splices scenes ofThe Lord of the Ringsthat feature Aragorn intoElden Ring, making as many smart connections between the two as possible in just over a minute. As the edit starts, Aragorn is woken up from unconsciousness by his steed, Brego, representing howElden Ring’s Spectral Steed Torrent approaches the player after their “death” at the hands of the Grafted Scion tutorial boss. Aragorn then shoves open the doors that are notoriously slow to open in FromSoftware titles and almost instantly decapitates the Tree Sentinel on horseback.
Aragorn hilariously re-enacts a confident player’s adventure in the Lands Between as he reads a player’s “be wary of death” message written on the ground. Aragorn ignores it, stating, “I do not fear death,” before he walks toward the fog wall inElden Ringthat leads to Margit. InThe Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Aragorn fearlessly wades into a mountain’s cave that houses the spirits of the dead, whom he must recruit to help battle Sauron’s forces.
As Aragorn approaches Margit in his boss arena, the Summoning Bell can be heard in the background before Aragorn is seen running alongside the Skeletal Militiamen Ashes that he had summoned, representing the undead army creatively inElden Ring’s Spirit Ashes. Further, Viggo Mortensen’s infamous helmet kick is used to pry Iron Fist Alexander loose from the ground.
Aragorn charges into battle on the Shores of Aeonia alongside Iron Fist Alexander, Blaidd, Lionel the Lionhearted, among theother NPCs inElden Ringthat are readily summoned for the Radahn Festival. Lastly, Aragorn can be seen crowned as an Elden Lord as he takes his place on the throne before the Erdtree, summarizing what his journey through the Lands Between would authentically look like.
Elden Ringis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
