It has been confirmed thatHogwarts Legacywill not have a playable Quidditch feature, but that does not mean that the same will be said for a sequel. Brooms will be used inHogwarts Legacy’s open-world traversal and exploration, which is a fun addition to hippogriffs and thestrals, but fans are surely disappointed that Quidditch has been omitted as it would be a fantastic mini-game. This has consequently inspired the desire fora new standalone Quidditch game in theHarry PotterIP.
Some fans are satisfied with whatHogwarts Legacycurrently boasts, and indeed the amount of content it seems to have is considerable. It is possible that WB Games Avalanche could not add Quidditch due to a focus on other content; flight mechanics and animations may not be exactly where WB Games Avalanche wants them in order to properly design and execute a full-blown Quidditch mini-game. Whatever the reason for Quidditch not being added, it givesHogwarts Legacyan incredibly enticing gameplay feature for a potential sequel.

Hogwarts Legacy May Have Too Much to Be Able to Also Include Quidditch
Hogwarts Legacyseems to have everything but the kitchen sink in terms of content. For example,Hogwarts Legacy’s State of Play presentationtook fans on a guided tour of the activities they will be engaged in in-and-around the castle with a clear emphasis on exploration.
The school’s interior now looks to be one of the more minor locations to explore, as so much has been shared from Hogsmeade and areas past the castle walls. It is fair of WB Games Avalanche to concentrate its efforts onHogwarts Legacy’s narrative-driven and explorative features, which seem gratifying on their own.
Quite a bit has been shown now through myriad gameplay clips and teasers, expressing that there will be multiple areas outside the castle players can explore, with mention of an area beyond the Black Lake even being accessible. It is unsure how much of this content will be linear or restricted to side quests, but it still demonstrates how much contentHogwarts Legacywill have without also having included Quidditch. Either way, if fans wish to have Quidditch be playable, they may need to supportHogwarts Legacyenough to necessitate a sequel.

AHogwarts Legacysequel will have a difficult time one-upping the amount of content that the original seems to have, making the decision to hold off on or postpone Quidditch a great one. In the absence of a playable Quidditch feature,Hogwarts Legacywill instead feature broom race challenges.
This seems like some sort of middle-ground WB Games Avalanche is extending as an olive branch to fans who are disappointed that Quidditch is not playable. Broom races may be compelling as they guide players throughout the open-world grounds and beyond, and may demonstratehow Quidditch would work in aHogwarts Legacysequel.
Although fans should no longer expectHogwarts Legacyto involve Quidditch in its base-game, there is always an opportunity forHogwarts Legacy’s DLC to include Quidditch, though that may be ruled out if previous FAQ statements refer to bothHogwarts Legacy’s base gameand its planned post-launch slate. The more likely result, however, is that aHogwarts Legacysequel or spinoff would feature Quidditch and perhaps have it be a huge proponent of its core gameplay.
